Synchronous electrospindles : adaptable to suit your needs
How can the ever more exacting requirements of electrospindles integrators be fulfilled and to be sure of having a technology adaptable to all needs ?

The use of asynchronous motors, where considerable heating of the rotor occurs, creates numerous problems in the construction of electrospindles :

- Axial expansion of the spindle shaft due to heating
- Short lifetime of bearings due to the heat produced by the rotor
- P
oor level of balancing due to the presence of soft materials in the rotor (aluminium, copper) which are deformed by heat and centrifugal forces.

The HW concept : the cold rotor technology

The HW series of motors has been designed with the aim of suppressing rotor heating.

A synchronous motor has no energy loss at the rotor.

By using a patented principle of construction for motors and their associated drive systems, the HW series provides functioning at constant torque levels up to a base speed, and above this speed the function is at constant power
.

Decisive advantages for improving the precision and reliability of spindles

The major disadvantages of asynchronous motors are thus avoided :

Higher level of machining precision due to the very low level of axial expansion of the shaft

Higher quality surface finishing due to optimum balancing of the rotor which only contains steel and magnets

Longer lifetime of bearings, because the rotor stays cold

Greater compactness, for the same size motor the torque can be doubled

Much greater capacities of acceleration / deceleration for much faster cycles

Controlled by our DIGIVEX range of numeric drive systems, the HW series also allows for tool changes in record times thanks to the built-in indexing function.

Adaptable technology

Already available in numerous versions in the HW series, this technology developed by Parvex allows for total adaptation to your needs :

Adaptation of the mechanical parts

     Internal diameter of thru hole
     External diameter of motor
     Length

Adaptation of torque and motor speed

     Torque at low speed
     Maximum speed
     Base speed

Adaptation to the requirements of spindle integrators
with the high performance which can be achieved
